Before worrying, look at the "big picture" in your Coro app:
- Check Your History: The History tab lists all your feeds in reverse order. This is the best place to see exactly how much your baby has had in the last 24 hours, and you can add these results up for a daily comparison.
- View Your Trends: The Analysis tab groups your data into Last 7 Days, Month, and Forever. This helps you see if your total volume is consistent week-to-week, even if individual days vary.
- Automatic Uploads: Your feeds are uploaded immediately after they end. If an upload fails, don't worry, the app will automatically retry the next time you open it.
- Wet Nappies: For babies over 5 days old, 6 or more heavy wet nappies in 24 hours is a great sign that they are hydrated and getting enough.
- Satisfaction: Does your baby seem settled (even for a short while) after most feeds?
Tips for Boosting Supply
If you do feel your supply needs a little boost, nature has some great ways to help:
- Skin-to-Skin: Spend lots of time cuddling your baby skin-to-skin.
- Feed More Often: Increasing the frequency of feeds tells your body to produce more milk.
When to Speak with an Expert
If you notice a significant drop in your total volume (more than 20% over a few days) or if your baby has fewer than 5 wet nappies in a day, it’s a good idea to talk to a lactation consultant.
